Rivals

Shot types are very good and show a clear vivid representation of their story. The graphics are also very well made and show a clear understanding of the production process,The music also was a strength due it fitting in well with the story and events that were taking place
|
However the Sound was poor for instance the wind blowing was really loud and was a hindrance. It also being set during the day time took away the feel and gravity of the moment. The work was also fairly poor as the was a huge amount of camera shake

Disturbance
|
The use of camera throughout this film was also very well presented and was clear and used a wide arrange of shots. The themes in this was also very elaborate and had an interesting plot and was unique when compared to others such as the racism. The finally the music and audio was well edited and wasn't causing any unnecessary noise.
|
The weaknesses was that the shots got repetitive and eventually got stale and boring due to them being over saturated and the graphics looked very basic and were poor taking down the premium feel of the film

Suffocation
|
The music in this film was also well chosen and selected and the mise en scene was very creative as the lighting and props used in it was a step when compared to the other films and what this film had was a lot of variety in terms of everything from all the shot types and props and miss en scene.
|
What did lay it back was that there was no institution logo at the beginning so we don't know who it was made by and there was no background noise so it made it feel empty and something felt missing and there was a lack of the major label (film 4) and the graphics that were made wasn't exactly the best but we're readable.

Bridges
|
The strengths here was the Music as it fit very well with there film and was decent quality. The story here was also good and fairly original but it couldn't be understood clearly at all.The camerawork that was required to be there was so it met its brief.
|
The graphics in this film were so bad that you couldn't see what they were meant to say as it was poor quality and the story even thou it was a good idea,it was executed very poorly and you couldn't understand it one bit

Postive
|
The camerawork was very good actually very impressive when compared to the previous work. The graphics are also very clear and readable and the music used throughout this piece was very enjoyable to listen and fitted it well
|
The things this film suffered from was the abrupt ending as it just ended without any conclusion and also the lack of dialogue as it was just music so you didn't know what the people were saying.

Bridges is one of the past work projects made by students for the BRS, the reason why I choose this is in comparison to the postives the other project I choose, is because it is no where near as good, the quality of the whole thing is significantly less than positives, for example the camera work and picture quality is very poor the shots where un clear and executed badly and the story and plot of the whole things was unable to be recognized as there was poor audio so you couldn't hear what anyone was saying and little dialogue was in the entire film and the graphics were so unclear they were pixels so the could not be read and helped to little of nothing. In contrast Positives is clearly the better film out of the both from the use of camera work, music and seemed a lot more professional when compared to Bridges, the story was more clear and appealing but it did suffer from the lack of dialogue and the abrupt ending.
Bridges
Picture 1
What worked well in this scene was the establishing shot so we got to see where it is set. What could've made it better was better camera work and picture quality.
Picture 2
What worked well in this picture us the location it is set in,it is very populated and feels very dynamic. What could be improved is the camera work yet again because it is fairly shaky.
Picture 3
What worked well here is the rule of thirds and match on match action, but the downfall of it is poor audio which is overwhelmed by the traffic.
Picture 4
What worked here is the use of the over the shoulder shot, but what was excuted poorly here was the plot and story as everything from now on is hard to understand or be explained.
Picture 5
What is successful here is that we can see clearly the studio maker and brand. but it is poorly made and could have been thought out a lot better.
Picture 6
Here we have a decent reverse shot between two people having a conversation, but the problem in this is how bad the audio is so the two people having a conversation is irrevlant.
Pushing buttons
Picture 1
Here we can see clearly the Maker and how it is very clear, but it did look a little tacky which could be improved.
Picture 2
What was successful here was the lighting in the room but what could've been better was the rule of thirds which could of been used a bit better as her head is just about on the screen
Picture 3
Here we can see the use of match on match action which is good and also what could be improved is the use camera movement within the shot as it looked slow.
Picture 4
Another good shot that is used here showing the train go past ,which adds to the mise-en-scene,but the lack of sound takes away from the scene which can be changed.
Picture 5
The use of Canary Wharf station adds sense off realism and dynamics to the scene ,but it too seems a little too long.
Picture 6
Finally we have the last scene which has lots of shots within London builings and offices which adds a wide range of realism when compared to the others but they do get repetitive after a while.
